This is a bit long, but indicates where Amazon is heading, along with other large warehouse operations. And Wendies ordered a bunch of automated kiosks to replace front end employee costs, jury out on that one.

Probably a little of both. One thing about productivity statistics is they look at widgets coming out the door, doesn't matter who or what made that widget.
