There's a long list of disqualifiers for service -- and there's a long list of exceptions to those disqualifiers also -- If you can do the job, no one cares when the situation gets real.

I agree, service is service, but volunteering to serve to get an operation you can't pay for is not a valid reason to serve when you'll be on limited duty while in recovery after extensive and costly training. Four and six man fire teams down one member of the team because someone is on limited duty doesn't work. The teams are built with purpose and need to meet full requirements.

SSG (Join to see) It would be something if you had even the slightest bit of knowledge on the subject you are talking about.

People join for the benefits. Health care for the family and talk about a burden that's one heck of a burden but you ignore it.

Profiles. Now that's funny as I doubt anyone who has served did not have a profile at one time or another. I came out of AIT with a P2 and went straight overseas after graduation. Had that P2 my entire time in and sometimes a P3 for knees, legs, back, shoulders and feet.

Face it your position is seated in bigotry.

While I was in, people were getting NJP write-ups for getting tattoos that got infected or severe sunburns while on weekend passes or leave that restricted their duty status. So I'm calling bullshit.

SGT (Join to see) - I am afraid I have way more than you after serving as a squad leader at a WTU, I have seen enough to know what goes on not all who end up at the WTU ever even seen battle or were even hurt in the line of duty. I stand by what I said if they are only joining to get the surgery and get out that is wrong end of discussion, good bye.
