What are we the Afghan Defense Department and bank account?
Why are we (the USA) paying for almost everything in Afghanistan? It appears to me to be another US Congress and State Department screw up.
This is not a Democrat problem or a Republican problem, it belongs to both parties and the previous two administrations. This is not a waste of money by Trump, it is a waste of money by both Obama and Bush.

And yet we keep hearing from members of Congress that we don't spend enough on defense and our military. It's not that we're not allocating enough of a budget, it's the fact that most of the budget is wasted on programs like this. Whether it's uniforms, weapons, equipment, automation; it's an indictment of the fraudulent spending of multiple presidential administrations, Congress and DoD that ignores 1) O&M readiness of our forces, 2) benefits for active, reserve, veterans, and dependents, and 3) benefits for foreign military sales over domestic issues.
