Think back to the election of President Reagan. For those not old enough, allow me to fill you in. He was referred to as a"Cowboy", and not in a good sense. Many feared he would act without thinking. And when he ordered the bombing of Libya in reprisal for an attack on American service members in Germany, the nation and the world held its breath expecting the worst. When he poked the Russian bear, many were certain that nuclear Holocaust was certain to follow. But what has history repeatedly shown us? It is the appeasers, the bowers, and the apologists who invite conflict. Well, here we go again. A terrorist is taken out and the fearful fear the consequences. At least we learn who to trust at our backs and who we can't

I'd agree this this was a bad dude who has been planning attacks on us and our allies in the Region through various surrogate forces, for years. There's no doubt he was our enemy and good riddance... today. Question is - what's the strategy here?? Is this just another transactional play, or do we (the Administration) know where this ends? - because he's not just a senior military Commander, but really a member of a foreign government - somewhere between our Secretary of State and our Chairman of the Joint Chiefs… in influence. So, we better be sure we know what we are doing!

COL (Join to see) - Sadly, I expect our Administration doesn't have a clue. Make that "our current Administration" (until noon today).

During the Clinton and Obama Administrations, we found that appeasement, rather than action led to further aggression. The Iranians are in the process of becoming a Nuclear Power. Strategically, they poke the beehive to show our enemies that we are a paper tiger that can be beat. How many of our SMs and civilians must be killed in order to respond? In answer to your basis question, it’s time to end their continuous provocation, before they become another N. Korea.

Yep it’s the type of cringing escalation one dreads. Of all the times to decide to eliminate a high ranking member of the Iranian government. Had they had proof of malintent towards US troops they’d provide evidence to Ranking leaders in Congress, our Iraqi allies and an ‘in your face, Iran’ moment. But yeah um no.
