Should service members get overtime? The Department of Labor has proposed raising that threshold to $50,440, more than double the current level. That means that if you earn less than $50,440, your employer would need to pay you overtime when you work more than 40 hours in a week – NO EXCEPTIONS.

That is ridiculous. We can retire at 20 years on full benefits, we get the best health insurance out there and with the pay and benni package, the military is a great way to go. I did 24 years, I loved it all and would do it again in a heartbeat. We don't get paid by the hour, and we don't get overtime, at the same time we get paid per diem to buy groceries. Housing allownace...jump pay....Nope Overtime not a requirement
