My wife and I have been married for 44 years. One thing that has made it last (among many, of course) is that we do nice things for each other. She makes me sandwiches. She likes making me sandwiches. From time to time I vacuum. I hate vacuuming. Whatever. Do I think my wife is weak? Hardly. Good grief. What kind of relationship is it if you don't do nice things for each other.

(I should really sandwich in a joke here--help ham it up a bit. But, I might get in a jam with feminists. Which would just egg me on. Besides, what do I know. I'm accused of being part of 'white bread' America. So, I won't say anything cheesy)

I make my husband's lunch at times and he makes my lunch some days. I have worked in a male dominated career field my entire civilian career. I make more than my husband. Feminists do NOT speak for me. If you love someone you should want to do nice things for them. Anyone telling young girls that it makes them weak to do nice things for someone they love is a fool.

Not married and I’d go to my Woman friend’s and check in her fridge to see what she had .. if it’s that turkey ham (depending what brand, some better than others)and cheese food, I pass on the sandwich.. she’d have that weight-watcher dressing.. weight-watcher bread.. nope..
we can go out.. I showed her to keep eye on dates.. so she’s good on freshness .. I just do
On’t like the wanna-be lunch meats ‘cause they are simulated and actually aren’t really that good.
There’s nothing like a good sandwich(even bologna with garlic & real cheese and in-season tomato., fresh cucumber slices, . with Hellman mayo.. miracle whip ok but hides flavor of meat.
She came over to my place and said she couldn’t find anything...
it was all there.. nice chunk of smoked ham on bone, cuke, , real jarlsberg cheese chunk, tomato on counter and fresh made bread in fridge too., I wasn’t going to say “are you blind?” We had a good relationship.. except where it came to food.. we parted ways.. maybe for better. I tried to see more her way, but was really looking for a 57-43 split.. I’d even give the 57 sometimes. Going out was a gamble.. I’d order while she’d freshen-up.. 1/3 to 1/2 Lb’r Gr Rd
Or Sirloin burger-Med rare to med. Fries , nice n brown(hate wimpy fries, they look anemic . I instruct the wait, don’t let her change my order! She’d have me have a quarter pounder, medium well, no bread, light type mayo or mustard, no-salt chips.. etc... like I said we parted ways..
