Army 2-star loses promotion after calling congressional staffer ‘sweetheart’

Apparently we've digressed to the point that the average American believes the decorum for the local Waffle House is the same as for official government proceedings..

I see both sides on the coin here! There’s a time and a place! As a General you’re a politician. Pretty much all high ranking individuals are politicians! I would have caution with my words as a politician especially in a congressional setting! But being a southern gentleman i know how harmless the term is! It’s really not that big of a deal! Do I think the actions taken were warranted? Nope! It’s not that big of a deal! A simple counseling session would’ve been fine! This why I feel civilians shouldn’t have so much power when it comes to the military. But hey!
