Odd. When I graduated, I was handed a Certificate of Completion. So now they get a "Soldier's Certificate?" I'm feeling a little torn over this.

I don't remember getting anything but orders to AIT. I guess us old timers didn't qualify for one of those certificates and have to take basic training all over again just to get one. What will they think of next?

They gave us 2 US insignias for our Class A & B's. When you graduated Inf School you got Crossed Rifles. You didn't need anything else
