When civilian clergy asked me what I did, I answered: "Everything you do, and a whole lot more!" Now that I'm retired from the Army and serving as a civilian pastor, my responsibilities seem easy by comparison. And I'm enjoying kayaking more than PT.

I'll have to keep that little word of the day section handy. I find "word of the day" requests to be trite, but I'm not exactly in a position to say "I'm good."

LT, I appreciate you taking the time to check it out. I find that our words can have more impact than we might expect, especially when spoken out of deep conviction. Many people, including our Soldiers, are hungry for direction and meaning in their lives. Take anything you want, and I've got plenty more where that came from.
