As society changes, so does the military. To quote President Eisenhower, "an informed soldier, is America's best weapon." That's not the actual quote, but I'm paraphrasing.

It's a great idea, hopefully it comes to fruition in the same way it is being briefed.

Any increase in access to college education, so long as it does not impair a service-member's ability to meet their obligations for readiness and routine duties, is great.
I waited a long time to finish my degree. I wish I had not. If there had been accredited college degree programs readily available on the internet, I would certainly have finished while on active duty. I was able to take some courses at the post education center, but that was a rare thing, as our unit's schedule just didn't mesh with that sort of thing at all. I think self-paced internet study with grades based on projects that can be submitted over the internet is best. As a compromise, perhaps proctored examinations on-demand.
