Is this a case of "zero defects" gone to the next level. How are our leaders grow if they are not free to make mistakes? In some cases (particularly with the he said she said variety) the paper out there is not complete.

I have no problem with drug users (positive urinalysis), drunk drivers and domestic abusers not getting promoted.

It's important to note WHO they are plucking out during the screening process. These aren't job related mistakes or poor OERs. These are acts that violate the Army values. So I have no issue with it... With that being said, I believe the Army as a whole is trying to get away from the "zero defects" mind set in relation to performance. There's plenty to be said about how well that is going. Also plenty of other threads on RP discussing it.
