CPO Andy Carrillo, MS The Army has failed on many occasion to rehabilitate soldiers with PTSD and instead they find all the ways to kick them out and not offer them benefits that they need to get back on their feet and helped. That's why I think suicide has been so prevalent. They turn their backs on the soldiers that sacrificed everything for them when the soldiers really need them to show some understanding. 8 Combat Tours that man deserves his benefits regardless of his habit. He probably wouldn't have a had a habit in the first place if it weren't for the combat tours probably back to back too. Veterans deserve more than they get. I have known too many people that were left with physical and emotional scars that can never be completely healed.

SPC Britanny *Winnie* Balthaser well stated. Rather than find ways to assist those in obvious need it seems the military looks for ways to cut their financial liabilities and responsibilities. I am of the opinion that 'if you touch it you own it, and if you break it you've bought it'. I am happy for this veteran and his family. Note that it took an advocate in Congress to make this happen.
