The Army Reserve is also talking about doubling the training time for units that are supposed to be ready to deploy. This is no longer your grandfather's National Guard. We don't drink beer in the tanks anymore. Even though we don't have tanks in the Army Reserve, we still train up and are prepared to be ready to mobilize Within a month of a national emergency.

Correction, the old field manuals said that we would be able to be in theater within 35 days of a declared National Emergency but I believe our three star general l u c k e y is trying to bring that down to a couple of weeks or quicker where the units are ready to fight in a very short time.

Drinking beer in a tank sounds both fun and dangerous.

Dangerous if you don't have your CVC helmet on and being a drunk idiot inside the turret.
