Today is always a rougher day for me. March 23rd marks the date of the Soldier-on-Soldier attack that took place in the midnight hours of March 22 - 23rd at Camp Pennsylvania in Kuwait, just days after the official invasion of Iraq kicked off. This attack held the 1st BCT of the 101st Airborne Division back by 24 hours. In this attack we lost two of our Brigade officers. CPT Chris Seifert from the S2 office and Air Force Maj Stone who was our weatherman for helicopter flights.
Not a day goes by that I don't reflect back on that date. I wear a bracelet in honor of Chris every day. He is truly missed by all who knew him.

SGT Ben Keen I didn't even know this ever happened. I was pretty young at the time, but even still I've never heard people talk of it and I've been to Kuwait twice now. Truly sorry for your loss.

We had already crossed the OLD (Line Of Departure) and on thaw through Iraq, when we received word of this and then Lynch as it was around the same time and we were passing Nasiriya with Task Force Tarawa. This news sent shock waives around the Task Force.
