A 20-year Army veteran whose 2002 Ford F-350 truck was stolen on Thursday morning from his Texas home served public notice to the crook, writing a message on a 4x8 plywood board that the thief messed with the wrong soldier.
“To: The worthless dirtbag that took my truck,” James Huff’s sign reads. “I gave 20 years of my life serving in 3 armed conflicts to protect YOUR freedom.”

I don't know. I don't really like the implication that it is worse to steal from a veteran than any other law abiding American. The "I hope your mom sees you stole from a soldier " kind of makes me cringe. Will his neighbors think that it was worse then if they had their truck stolen? I doubt it. Then he says it wasn't insured for theft, which seems odd since the article says thieves in the area target trucks like his. Maybe it wasnt worth enough to insure. But with the publicity he'll probably get a new truck from a fundme account.
