I think he deserves the same amount of pay raises that the retirees from the military got over the past seven years.

Yes.. that would be almost satisfactory. It should be at the same rate amount a E-1 private earned back when he Obama became President.

There might have been a time when presidents needed a pension. Those days are long passed. Rather than look only at annual income of retired presidents look at both their net worth and income. Most, if not all need no pension from us. Most left the white house in far better shape than when they entered it from a financial perspective.
They already have many other perks such as secret service protection, funds to run a fully staffed office etc. that when added to a pension is staggering for a "pubic servant".
They need no increase, they need a means test and an elimination of the pension.

Agreed...that is why the amendments have been drawn up in both the House and Senate. Let's just hope they make them come true.
