Good morning RP. Today's Astronomy Picture of the Day is titled "Sunrise at Copernicus Crater." Located on our Moon and clearly visible with binoculars, the crater is 93km in diameter and nearly 4km deep. In this image, sunlight is just beginning to strike the western walls of Copernicus but doesn't yet shine on lower terrain nearby, briefly extending the crater's outline into the lunar nightside. Sunrise occurs at Copernicus Crater every 29.5 days.
