Psalms 14-1
The fool has said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that does good.

According to the Bhagavad-Gita atheists are they who have no reasoned faith (Shraddha) in the Supreme Being ( Purushottama, Vishwaroopa Paramatma ), the Whole Unified Universe; and in the Eternal Dharma ( Ishwari Dharma) which is selfless performance of one’s natural duty ( Svakarma, Varnakarma ) for the welfare of all beings . ( Gita, 9 . 3 ).
Divine Wisdom and Vision ( Divyachakshu, Jnanam Vijnanasahitam ) is the only means for realization of the Vishwaroopa Paramatman . ( Gita, 11 . 48, 53 ).
Worship ( Ananyabhakti, Svakarmana tamabhyarchya ) is to offer in love the whole of life in selfless service of the Vishwaroopa Paramatman, renouncing “Ego “ .
