Don't totally blame them for not going in, total lack of respect for them by the political side, and the civilian side.

Or maybe the police unions need to wake up and stop protecting abusive cops who hide behind their badges. Maybe these precincts who have cops with a history of police misconduct should do something about it.
Why is it the military is held to a high standard but LE aren't? We have UCMJ - they should have UCPJ. We had such strict ROE in Iraq and Afghanistan for years. But they can shoot someone if they "feel" threatened?
People can be for law enforcement reform AND understand not all cops are bad. It's possible to do both.

I believe there was a carefully-crafted over-reaction planned by insurgents for a particular moment. When unlawful death happens (more often) to white men being apprehended, no one squeaks or riots. It may be that the lack of political support and increasing wave of hatred toward the cops ( even to attempted poisoning of them by fast food places) may end up biting the population in the rear.
