So, again we come To this anniversary. I wonder the utility and appropriateness of celebrating this beyond the remembrance that it was done. My personal opinion is that the history on both sides should be well known to understand why and to hopefully understand how to never do it again.

This isn’t a day to celebrate, its a day for mourning and relflection on the past. Many lives were lost when the bombs dropped. Men were also killed in the bombing of Pearl Harbor, on “Hacksaw Ridge” in the Battle of Okinawa, Siege of Bastogne, Battle of the Bulge, Gettysburg, and Antietam. The battles fought and the bombing of Berlin and Japan, they are tactics to be analyzed and yes, they are lesson to prevent them in the future. I only posted this so hopefully nobody forgets.

PFC (Join to see) I completely agree with you, my comments were meant to spark the discussion and the word celebrate was he was purposely. I would agree with you that we should not celebrate these events, though there are some who do and that word is appropriate much like a week. However there are some that celebrate another Waze. Reflection morning and remembrance is strictly the key
