Attack on Niger military base leaves 71 soldiers dead

Interesting read.

There are too many variables that I don't which will hinder me from making qualitative statements. If the military knew that the insurgents use company plus sized units then they failed in that regard.

I don't know if this attacks is a bigger indictment of security in the region or the quality of Niger's military. That is a lot of casualties unless there was a boatload of ISIS muldoons.
