It makes me incredibly proud when our soldiers, sailors, airmen, Marines, and Coasties reach out to the civilian community with special projects, school support, or, in this case, making a young kid's day special.

I probably should have mentioned that the video within this article is a bit amusing ... watching soliders playing "soldier" with NERF guns.
I remember vividly A/4-7 Cav in Korea in the late 70s supporting a local orphanage. Soldiers from the unit would "check out" a kid or a few and bring them to our mess hall for holiday meals. It was a good break from the ville ... and a reminder of home. I never had a soldier do wrong by any of the kids.
