Backlash erupts when Democrats push new law to lower federal voting age to 16

People who attempt to bend laws for a short term benefit rarely take into account the second order consequences. Look at Harry Reid who changed the majority voting requirements when he was presiding as majority leader in the Senate and his party held a narrow margin. That rules change quickly bit him in the ass when the GOP took a slim majority. So, by lowering the voting age to 16, the Dems are banking on youthful voters giving them majorities in more elections. However, there is ample evidence that the next generation, those now just becoming teens, are one of the most conservative groups in history. I wonder how that might play out...
