Bad apples: Who is teaching Mississippi's kids?

I am from Mississippi and I wish I could say that it shocks me..but it doesn't. My wife worked in public schools here for several years...the things she had to put up with were atrocious so she quit and is working for a law firm now as a secretary. It doesn't matter what you do...these commissions look the other way most of the time. Our superintendent here is as crooked as they come and they know it but he still is in the job. This is why my daughter goes to private school...period.
