So the author makes the case that there should be a button that clearly states you are signing up for an irrevocable option. But when the soldier reaches said button, after clicking on several previous buttons, the author says:
“ If you weren't reading carefully, you might not even have noticed that the words next to the check box say, "I fully understand that I am opting into the Blended Retirement System (BRS) and it is an irrevocable decision."

So if the soldier wasnt reading and didnt notice the warning on this button, why doesnt he think they also wouldnt read and see the warning on an earlier button? Stupid is as stupid does. It’s hard to make a convincing case that you need to change the wording on a button when you state that some soldiers don’t read the warnings next to the button anyway. If they don’t read the button wording, it doesn’t matter what they say.

And of course, this whole process starts when a soldier clicks on a link titled “ blended retirement system opt in”. How could we ever expect a soldier to figure out what that means? Smdh

Thanks for the good info and heads up. Luckily I am retired already and the option doesn't appear. I will brief my wife just in case someone becomes a good idea fairy and puts the option in there.
