Thanks for sharing Yinon.

Hi folks, I'm the CEO of StreetShares. I've been a RP member for a couple of years now, and we're honored to partner with RallyPoint.

I thought I'd write personally and show you behind the curtain at StreetShares.

Did you know that 25% of Iraq/Afghanistan-era veterans want to start a business?
Many veterans -- like me -- left the service and started businesses in the wake of the "Great Recession." That was hard. Banks weren't helping these veterans. At the same time, the military community is getting tiny returns on their savings accounts. So we created a way to bring those two groups together...a way for the military community to get solid returns investing in loans to these businesses. Think of it as "Uber for Banking" for the military community. 5% returns for backing businesses you believe in? How great is that?!

What's the catch?
The catch is that we don't need your money. We need your help in recruiting great businesses. You see, we have plenty of money (from big investment funds) to fund these businesses. We just need to reach all 3 million veteran-owned companies in America. I can't hire a big enough sales team to do that, so we're turning to the military community to spread the word.
Where do you shop? Refer them to StreetShares.
Who does your dry cleaning? Refer them to StreetShares.
You get the point.
In return, we're reserving a portion of our portfolio for individual investors (like you) and we'll give you a fixed 5% returns. The catch: you can't invest more than $1000, unless you help us find more businesses.

Here's how it works:
You click below to join StreetShares. You invest up to $1000 at first. (Min. investment is $25). That's right, we won't accept more than $1000 from you. You see 5% returns rolling in. You like it. You want to invest more. But you may only invest more if you refer additional members or small businesses. So we make referring easy. StreetShares.com has one-click referral tools to invite businesses to join StreetShares. You type in their name, and we send them an email invite automatically. You invite a bunch of businesses. We let you invest more. You get more 5% returns. We get more businesses to fund. Everyone wins.

Why should I trust you?
We underwrite and co-invest in every loan ourselves. Returns are fixed, even if an underlying loan defaults. StreetShares has been qualified by the Securities and Exchange Commission to offer this investment. You may find our Offering Statement at sec.gov.

My team and I are happy to answer any questions that you have. Please contact [login to see] .

Click below to get started.

Thanks,

Mark

SPC (Anonymous) - What's the interest rate on your savings account? What's the interest rate on a 1-year CD? The national averages for these are 0.06% and 0.22%. StreetShares offers all Veterans a fixed return *83* times higher than your savings account. https://www.fdic.gov/regulations/resources/rates/

Dear SPC (Anonymous). Yes, investors who meet the definition of "accredited investors" set by the SEC may invest through StreetSharesPro. StreetSharesPro allows accredited and institutional investor (e.g., investment funds) to set a bid (rate and amount) that they want to lend to a veteran-owned business. StreetShares runs a very fast auction to identify the lowest interest rate bids and combines those into a single loan for the borrower. This gives the borrower the lowest possible interest rate on the loan. We're here to help veteran business owners after all! Investors through StreetSharesPro, however, are subject to the default risk of the borrower (i.e., if borrower doesn't pay back their loan, you don't get paid your share). By contrast, investors in StreetShares vet biz bonds (the 5% product) get their 5% regardless of the performance of underlying loans. Different products work better for different types of investors. Either way, you can make money supporting veteran entrepreneurs. Does that that help?
