The BVA has rebooted its' organization making it a 501c3, as other Veteran Service Organizations. The leadership asked me to reach out to other sources that could get the word out to veterans. They are reaching out to all eras of Beirut Veterans as far back as 1958. There are BVA members of all ages into their 80s and 90s.
As a Beirut Veteran who joined 10 years ago, I was happy I had not changed my email address. I look forward to this reboot. I am near the Jacksonville NC area. Also, I am happy to say they are looking for ideas to make this reboot successful. I will use my knowledge and experience as a DAV Service Officer to assist with the development of a BVA scholarship program and any development of veteran services as the committee requests. They are also looking for persons interested in working on committees.
