I do not believe in coincidence I will stand with there must have been indications of an attack that were Ignored, not carried about, not worried about, or perhaps the Intel folks just screwed up. It would not be the first time. Just like in Iraq every bad guy that could hauled ass for Fallujah when they found out the US was going to make a play on it. Same thing in Ramdi and Talifar. We always underestimated those people when it came to how smart they are. But the bottom line is if Obama or Clinton had tried to help it would have gotten there

It is the job of DOD, Intelligence agencies, and State Dept not to be surprised, plus Ambassador Stevens had alerted the State Dept (Clinton). Benghazi is a seaport. The Navy had surface assets in the near area with the Eisenhower about 1500 miles out. Additionally, the Navy had air assets in Rota, Maron (then), Sigonella, and Naples. The Air Force had assets in Aviano. All within a 2 hour flight radius. And with in-flight refueling assets to support.
