They really didn't do a good job of covering it up.
SNL was even making fun of it in his last year

Because it's not like SNL has made fun of every President going back to Gerald Ford...

There are both elements of a cover up and the obvious everyone did in fact see, but some chose to claim ignorrance about. SNL making fun of something (especially when the pressure is on them for typically being one sided for a couple of decades) does not negate the intent to cover up Biden's decline. They are one of a very few list of anectdotes of those who decided to say something from the historically left leaning groups within this nation. But what did we all see?
- The President literally sat in a basement and his access was severely limited during the primaries. - COVID was the excuse here, despite the fact he could have done plenty from remote locations with today's technology.
- The President answered few questions, limited his access to the media, and was reported to have severely limited hours of duty. - Feel free to count the number and compare them not only to other Presidents, but even certain periods of his term too.
- The President spent more time at vacation locations than any other president since the numbers have been collected. - Again, feel free to count the numbers and compare and note those times when he is obviously not having a working vacation, like sitting on the beach.
- The President continued to limit his access to the media and public events throughout his term. - Again, count the numbers... its all documented and clear to compare to ANY other president in recent history.
- The President repeatedly stubbled, ranted on incoherently, and looked highly confused when in public, prompting multiple people (his wife, Obama, the PM of Italy, and even the Easter Bunny) to lead him in the right direction. - We all saw it and yet the excuses continued repeatedly. A staff member told him to go to the wrong place, someone left cables in the wrong place, it was a windy day, the video wasn't showing all the context (when there wasn't any).
- His press secretary and staff members consistently and unequivocally insisted he's fine, sharp as a tack, running circles around them (and this may be true, but what does it say about them?). - Now several are speaking out... Where were they before? Are we to believe they are to be comended for speaking up now?
- The noted liberal pundits and so-called journalist who are entrusted to report the truth, went on to claim he's fine, nothing to see here, and refused to take part in their journalistic duty to seek out the truth, question what does not look right, and report the truth to the American people. Some even attempted to mock, ridicule, and even cancel those who recognized and stated otherwise. - Where were they too? Is anyone going to try and convince me that if thise were Trump, or even Bush Sr or Jr, that they wouldn't have dug in more, asked more questions, demanded to know what's going on? They ignored it because of their bias.
- His personal health assessments for some reason neglected to screen for prostate cancer and he continued to recieve clean bills of health. - How is that? How does that happen for the President of the United States?
- His wife and family, who should all know far better than any of us, continued to claim their husband/father is fine. - This is elderly abuse at its finest, all to what... enjoy the status of being the first family? Disgusting people, pure and simple.
So no, they did not do a good job at covering it up, despite all the support handed to them from family, friends, staff, pundits, the media, and the gullible Democrats (or anyone else who voted for him or his VP twice). But the fact will still remain that they all tried to cover it up, demonstrating the Democrat leadership's and most liberal pundit's willingness to hide the truth, put a puppet into the office of the President, and then go on to say the other side is a bunch of racist Nazis trying to end Democracy. Shame on them, and I hope it ends the Democrat party as we know it. This isn't to say I want to see any party assume full control, more specifically for an indefinite period, but the left of this country needs to find its way back towards the center and that may need some GOP control for a while to make it happen.
I'm sure some may counter with "what about Trump?" This is not about him. Take Trump out of the equation. There is no excuse or rationalization that justifies what those people I mentioned above have done. None! For all the claims about Trump seeking power and control, each one of them need to reflect on the actions of the Democrat party leaders and their enablers if they voted for or continued to support Biden. Imagine if they got away with it... Imagine if that extended to taking control of the House and Senate too... Do you really think they'd stop there if they're so willing to put a declining old man back into the seat of the President? Let's say for arguements sake the plan was to almost immediately annouce his departure after he won... Does that make it better to essentially hand the office to someone who could even mount a successful primary?
I was incredibly frustrated and disappointed with the Biden Presidency and I directed a lot of that fault toward him mostly. Upon reflection, I have decided he really had little to do with it, other than willingly go along for the ride, right along with his greedy and narcassitic family members. The Biden term has shined a light on the lengths the people I noted above are willing to take for power. God help us if they find a way to adjust and succeed in the future. Worst president ever.

COL (Join to see) - yes, but in this case, the skit was about the concern that the press had already been addressing for weeks. It was funny because it was so pervasive in the news.

No votes were "cancelled" (the VP on the same ticket, became the candidate) and the former President was not "debilitated." He maintained a grueling schedule while the current occupant barely works 1/2 days. One example: President Biden spoke at the USMA graduation, then stayed on stage and shook the hand of every graduate crossing the stage and getting their diplomas. The current President said he had to leave to "fix China and Russia" and did not stay for the diplomas - breaking a tradition honored each year by recent former U.S. presidents. Of course, he lied - what he actually did was go back to his Golf Course in Bedminster, NJ.
