After the recent actions in Afghanistan it was not appropriate for Biden to appear in public. That seems pretty simple.

Appropriate? Absolutely not. Riots for the sake of riots is not appropriate and the people that committed this crime are being arrested, tried, and if found guilty, sentenced. Our system of jurisprudence works. You should not conflate the two events though. They are not alike. Also, if you exercise intellectual honesty you would note that the Republican party condemned this riot. While I am not a Republican I can recognize that they took steps to ensure this was not seen in a positive light.
