There should have been more attempts over the years to help the interpreters who helped coalition forces. But to say "failed the Afghan people..." No.
THEIR government and military has failed them. They tucked tails between their legs and ran.
If they want their country back they need to fight for it. Period. This was going to happen no matter when we left. 20 years and their government and military just retreat? C'mon.
We shouldn't have even been there or, at the very least, left when bin Laden ducked into Pakistan.
It's also amazing to see all these posts in my news feed on FB with a sudden care and concern despite the fact for 5-10 years I haven't seen anyone posting about Afghanistan. Not friends. Not the media. But now it's a problem? F* that.
