The thought is mind boggling.
Not "unexpected" mind you, but mind boggling nonetheless.
After all, who WOULDN'T want to own the famous gun that was owned by the famous person who wasn't guilty of murdering someone when the famous trial was finally held even though the actual killing was famous?
Can you imagine how much your family could get for your "assault weapon style" weapon if you managed to kill ten or twenty people with it?
Why there would probably be enough money for your family to live in luxury for the rest of their lives.
And, you'd be FAMOUS (and probably get proposals (of all kinds - including marriage) once you were convicted in a FAMOUS trial.
So, if you can't get laid and don't have a job and can't support your family, consider going into business as a FAMOUS weapon creator and SOLVE ALL OF YOUR PROBLEMS at one fell swoop.
