This is nothing new, from the beginning in all these conflicts with IED's the most dangerous Jobs have been EOD and Route Clarence (Engineers) Engineers also had to place all the T-walls, and check points and other task outside wire like keeping MSR's up and Bridges cleared this was done by both groups. This is why I always hate the old Infantry, and SOF does everything, NO they do not, and they need Force Multipliers as in Combat Support unit's like these. The one good thing the commanders are doing is using their (Iraqi) US trained Engineers but need our EOD Techs, and that sucks.

I do believe the countries to start depending more on themselves and less on us. We will never get out of war if this does not happen. Unfortunately, everything is tied to a political agenda.
