Many argue that gun rights are being eroded, but we also need to remember about gun safety. There are implications about using them in booby traps

I'm not an advocate of booby traps, but I think anyone planning to use them should use non-lethal ones. I can see where people might be tempted to use them, if they have a property that is continually being broken into, and police do nothing and appear to not care. But a shot of bug spray to the face might be just as persuasive and decidedly less lethal. Plus, if the person forgets it's there, he won't accidentally off himself.
