The press no longer reports stories, they push an agenda. Cops bad, America bad bla bla bla. NFL players refusing to stand for the National Anthem justified. Etc. During all the reporting on the Micheal Brown case I never once saw the lame stream media report the back window of the cop car being shot out. It was all "hands up, don't shoot." During the Zimmerman/Martin case one news service had a doctor on who said he saw no damage to the back of Zimmerman's head. As the trial progressed it became apperant that Zimmerman did indeed have lacerations to the the back of his head. News reporters and talking heads won't, and don't want to report facts. If acstory pushes THEIR agenda that is all they need. How many news services have reported the story on SPLC moving $64 million in funding overseas? Oh never mind, they are liberals, slander conservatives so their hearts are pure and their strength is as 10!

No problem, it divides, creates controversy and pushes a false narrative.

Did you watch the whole video beginning to end? You hear police giving conflicting orders to patrons: "get down", "move", "get out". People scattering in all directions walking fast to running. What we don't see and hear in the video is why one person running was identified running out an exit is more of a suspect from all the others running for an exit. Bennett was truthful that the officer did have a gun out near his head while the officer was on top of him, not pointing at his head, but when you're in that situation it might have felt like it's pointing right at your head. Too bad the arresting officer didn't have his cam on so we can see the actual first person interaction between him and Bennett. And it's hard to say if Bennett wasn't following orders to "get down" when you heard police in the video yelling to patrons to "get out".
But do continue to say this video is sufficient evidence that Bennett is making up a story.

MAJ Byron Oyler - As a military brat growing up in mixed military communities from former West Germany to FT Hood TX, race was never an issue until you encounter that first act of racism. One incident can be dismissed but as you're exposed to it again and again, all the early experience one embraced in diverse community is minimized due to exposure to a new reality. From walking through predominantly White neighborhoods to get to school to being the only Black kid in a class of 90 ROTC students to traveling through parts of the US by car to visiting one's Hispanic girlfriend in a predominantly Hispanic neighborhood; one learns not to take things for granted.

You judge people on character when you have time to get to know them. You learn to judge strangers on first encounters, visible behavior, and their manner/tone of speaking to you. In this case with Bennett, we haven't seen the first encounter that led to a cop chasing a man running out of an exit different from all the other people running for exits. Till then, lets stop assuming guilt when we're supposed to be presuming innocence till proven guilty.

LTC David Brown - Yeah, you think the chief would have those details before showing a video to the press in a manner that implies his officers were correct in chasing down suspect whom is later identified as Bennett. Imagine a police officer telling his subject why he arrested him would be a good place to start in this investigation.

MAJ James Woods - Respectfully Sir, a portion of our race issues is summed up in your comment and that is you are predisposed to take everything negative as a response to the color of your skin and it is changing others. I was the white kid in the black neighborhood and I am a white adult not only the only white person in my home but my neighborhood. When I read what you wrote and hear what others say, I have begun to believe that you believe I am racist because my color, I don’t even get a chance to serve with you before being judged. This pushes people to live in like neighborhoods, go to like churches because anything else feels uncomfortable. Someday all of us must man up and accept, maybe I did not get that job because I am unqualified, maybe I didn’t get into school because their grades were better, and maybe they were rude to me not because of the color of my skin but they simply are just a mean asshole. Should I ever have the pleasure of providing you healthcare, I will feel uncomfortable because you already think I have something against you; if I have to give you a shot or an IV, I wonder how do I prove that it hurt because needles hurt and not because I had it out for you. Is this the relationship we really want to be growing?

MAJ Byron Oyler - Now I'm calling BS. If at anytime you read my post and presumed I'm calling you racist; I'd say you're the one with the pre-disposition as you ignored other elements of my statement. Note you're uncomfortable feeling because of your own characterization that I must not like White people because of my objectivity with Bennett and the LVPD. And your continued rhetoric of 'I'm White who lived in an all Black neighborhood' is similar to the "I'm White and I have Black friends" defense you initiated on first encounter. So again, first impressions matters and in your case you immediately raised your defenses by having to justify where you live and whom you're married to. You felt the need to shape your statement that way and it had nothing to do with my comment about Bennett and LVPD but your pre-disposition of how you saw me. Similar to the Chief who said the two officers, whom are Hispanic, that made the arrest...as if racial can never play as an issue between Blacks and Hispanics. And just cause I'm Black doesn't mean I can move into any Black neighborhood and be immediately accepted. Again another false premise you're making that can be disputed by actual experience of others.
I say again, you've made more assumptions about me in two comments and zero actual opinion on the actual subject. Do continue playing victim; note I'm not playing victim, only noting various life experiences teaches one to be more situationally aware, empathetic, and adaptable in different environments. Move along.
