Scary enough! Beyond straight bio-warfare.

Just wait until nano-disassemblers break onto the scene. Launch one at any target and watch it seemingly melt away.

This could be a very dangerous development.

I believe David Goldstein is wrong on this one. He assumes that our knowledge and technology will not evolve much beyond the the point it is now, he couldn't be more wrong.

And we are discovering more about DNA and how it works but it isn’t exact science and when you make modifications, you aren’t guaranteed that the changes made won’t manifest as problems because flipping a gene on can ripple through and cause unforeseen changes to occur.

That said, once people figure out how to engineer viruses tailored to individuals or classes of people, I’m not optimistic that people won’t try to use this knowledge for nefarious purposes. We’re playing with fire and it’s going to get people burned...

What is designed for good always seems to be used for evil by evil people and man is inherently evil. I wish I could be more optimistic about genetic research but it appears COVID is the result of experiments on biological warfare that infected the scientists who then infected the general population and it became a global pandemic. Of course this is all conjecture but seeing as nobody is owning up to what happened, all we can do is speculate based on the evidence at hand.
