That's an interesting tool, and I can see it being quite useful for people working with Git and writing software specifically for Linux devices (which the article makes clear is the major limitation). There are similar tools available for Windows dev, including with Git integration (and TFS allows it as a built-in feature of the source control application), though I'm unaware of any for Mac development.
