Building the temple of the Lord.

Haggai 1:6-11. This is the terrible result of a nation that prioritizes its own desires above the things of God. We exist to bring Him glory. See v. 8. With the Spirit of God dwelling in us, we are the temple of the living God. (See Eph. 2:22–22; 1 Cor. 3:16; 2 Cor. 6:16.) As we share the gospel and tell people how to be born again, we can help to build the temple of the Lord—a duty we dare not neglect.
