I think it has a few more years there are faster substrates than silicon.

Sgt Wayne Wood Cost effective is the problem, it scales pretty well milady radars have been using it for DSP work and RF worker for decades. But it has been a niche with silicon reaching it's limits there will be a LOT of.time and money spent on searching for and developING alternatives.
