I remember the AF Academy Superintendent's response to the heinous graffiti ... a damn good one ... posted here on RP at the time. His message was a strong one ... and still valid. It is too bad that it is tarnished just a bit by the race of the person responsible. Goes to show that racism comes in different colors and varieties. Glad the cadet-candidate showed himself in prep school rather than after getting admitted to the Academy.

I agree, Sir, that his message was great. Just wished he had waited until the investigation was done... loses the point a bit when you have to say that it was a fake crime...

He should really have the book thrown at him; I can only imagine the hell some people were put through for nothing. Not to mention the difficulty of even getting an academy appointment, his sponsor should be really proud of nominating someone of such low character.

MSgt Danny Hope - We've seen this with the higher brass a lot lately... want to do everything they can to avoid bad publicity. That is short sighted. Eventually, it will cause a breakdown in good order and discipline. I liken it to the problems the Navy is facing right now... We had budget issues, so let's cut training and tell the ships to do more with less. Over 10-15 years, we now have ships that can't safely steam at sea without hitting other ships. Leaders are paid to make the right decisions, regardless of how hard they may be, to keep the standards high. My 2 cents at least...

Graduation, USMCRD San Diego. Recruiters are recognized and given credit at Graduation for any outstanding graduates they recruited. I understand failed recruits are charged to their recruiter in a similar fashion!

Sad and so typical of the racially tinged politically correct environment that has infected our society. These racist people who would insight division between our citizens need to be harshly dealt with. They need to understand that there is one race the human race.
