Calling all millennials: Fight for your reputation

Especially here within RP, I've seen far too many times now the bad talking of us "soft, sensitive, or weak" millennials. Enough of the condescending attitudes, the belittling, and the blanket stereotypes. Sure, are there some in the new generation that are self-centered and have settled on a feeling of entitlement? Of course. As there is with any generation. I personally still hold the values and morals of the generation before me and know there are far more like me than there are not. I work my ass off and know that I am owed nothing. I expect nothing. I want this country to succeed, but lack of support from the generation before us will help nothing. We need guidance, understanding and mentorship. The same kind that you received from the generation before you. While this is an article that more-so focuses on the Air Force and technology within, this is a problem within all branches, and the civilian world alike. It also pertains to more aspects than just work. I would love to look back in my old age and be happy with what my generation has stood for and brought to this nation and to this world. However, if those who came before us are going to do nothing but judge from afar and barrage us with negativity, know that you have my complete respect for your accomplishments but you are part of the problem, not the solution. The time is now millennials, show them that we are so much more than what they believe and fight for your reputation.
