This is a bad precedent that will be abused by everyone if SCOTUS confirms this.

It's only "bad" for one man... one man who deliberately violated his oath of office by planning, encouraging, and unleashing a violent mob on the capital to stop the peaceful transfer of power. One man who still cannot accept the truth: that he LOST the election, and tried everything he could to not leave office. He was unfit then, and he is no longer qualified to stand for election.

COL (Join to see) - Not saying he should be POTUS, but he was never charged or convicted of insurrectionism. I see this precedent as similar to the changes in voting in both chambers of the Capitol; it was good for the party that changed it, but in the long run they got schwacked by that same change when they lost the power/authorities.

She has given DEMONSTRABLE, PROVABLE aid to insurrectionists. As compared to Trump who said words.
But we don't talk about that, because the MULTIPLE insurrections during the "summer of love" were "mostly peaceful," and those were the GOOD kind of violent insurrection. The kind that destroyed buildings, seized and held government property, cost lives, and actually kicked out the existing government. We don't talk about THOSE insurrections because THOSE one were supported by the Powers That Be.
If you want tonstart excluding people with Section 3, there is a LONG list of folks on the left who have provided FAR more "aid or comfort" to *actual* insurrectionists than Trump's words provided to a non-insurrectionist protest that turned into a riotous mob.

One problem with your legal theory, he hasn't been convicted of any of that, or brought into jeopardy for it. Rumors and the media saying it doesn't make it truth...at least in my world.
How do you feel about Mr. Biden receiving funds via his family from China and Ukraine among others? Or influencing Ukraine to remove a prosecutor and in return get US tax dollars (which he admitted to on video)? I'm sure none of that's an issue and just not true.
