(06 18 21) U.S. Catholic bishops have approved the drafting of a document regarding rebuking Joe Biden and other pro-abortion politicians who receive Communion despite their support for aborting children.
The vote was overwhelmingly in favor of issuing the rebuke, with 168 in favor and 55 against. Supporters of the measure said this was needed because of Biden’s actions to protect and expand abortion access.
During the debate about the issue, Bishop Donald Hying of Madison, Wisconsin, said that he speaks with many people who are confused by a president who says he’s a Catholic but advances “the most radical pro-abortion agenda in history,” and action from the bishops’ conference was necessary.
