Cpl Craig Marton - To be quite frank, the concept the administration may have given anyone a seating chart with the actual names of CIA officers below director level would surprise me. I would like to see the purported seating chart and suggest it would not contain the actual names of CIA officers (classified matter) or the additional names of the people brought in to provide the cheering and clapping section hanging off to the side for this administration speech. Consider for yourself whether handing out the names of CIA officers - whether collections, analysis, or covert ops officers - makes any sense to you? I want to give the administration the benefit of the doubt - but the overwhelming majority of my colleagues at the agency who have served for many decades - while hoping for the best - are deeply offended by the use of the wall of stars honoring fallen officers for the kind of remarks that were being made - and as a matter of training and experience would need more consistency between what the administration says to different audiences and would need more consistency in budgeting and oversight before cheering and clapping. I will tell you CIA officers aware of colleagues' sentiments were not the cheering section. You have to do a lot more than mutter a few words to get collections, analysis, and/or ops officers to cheer and clap for this kind of self promotion and propaganda - no matter who is speaking. SSG Jesse Piippo - "HA HA" Sean Spicer admitted that there was an entourage that came with Trump. They were seated in the first two rows. Somebody posted this story on my timeline and I thought it had to be fake but no it isn't. I thought it was odd that the CIA would be cheering for a Trump speech. Lastly CBS news is not fake news. Any outlet that reports on anything negative about Trump gets branded fake news which is oronic since most if his fanbase gets their info from fake news sites.
