I would never say a revolver is a poor concealed carry weapon, but it's not my first choice. I'm a firm believer in; the more ammo, the better.

I own a S&W 442, a hammerless snubbie. It is carried either as a backup or primary when on my bike. I have no problems putting round into center mass out to 20 feet, even with +p loads.

I agree with the article. Especially consider most self defense shootings happen at a distance of 10 feet. Most LE shootings happen within 7 yards, which is why the 7 yard distance is so popular among police type ranges. Pistols were designed as self defense weapons. Not offensive weapons. That’s what Rifles are for.
