Thank you, my friend SGT (Join to see) for reminding us about the days of royal decrees. In this case on August 19, 1263, [Spanish province] King James I of Aragon on the Iberian peninsula censored Hebrew writings and "ordered that the Jews must within three months eliminate all the passages in their writings which were found objectionable."
Early staged and prelude to the Spanish inquisition, it seems.

Reconquista - The Next Generation - Part 3 James I - The Siege of Valencia
With the death of Ferdinand III, the powerful Kingdom of Castile changed hands to his son Alphonso X. But the Reconquista was not just the exploit of the Castilians. The War of Reconquest against the Muslims of southern Iberia continued with the campaigns of Portugal and Aragon. Both countries under their impressive kings - Sancho II and James I (respectively) reclaimed territory that was once in Islamic control.
