Past conflicts (WW1 and 2, Vietnam) did require some serious scientific innovation concerning making sure our military had ample, portable, shelf-stable food. That is frightening is that the military continues to feed it's military with these highly processed, packed with chemicals, preservatives and sugars meals, when a majority of military members in every corner of the world have ready access to food. With an increasingly fat and sick military, the answer is to not continue to innovate and find a way to make "shelf stable pizza" for our troops. Its a return to the manner of eating in which the original warfighters were able to be sustained. Real, whole, nutrient dense foods that provide sustainable long lasting energy (proteins and fats) rather than quick burning, blood sugar crashing, weight gaining sugar and carbs. Fire Team Whiskey was created because the Department of Defense continues to do the wrong thing and focus its money and efforts on how to make more processed foods for military members, poisoning its own ranks.
