The ship cannot launch aircraft with a load of fuel and weapons one or the other. They have to refuel once in the air. Not the best idea to have 20 minutes of fuel and have to be in a dogfight right after launch. Pretty hodge podge if you ask me. Maybe they could put some of those neon lights on it light the rice burners have. It don't help performance, but some people think they look cool.

This one is definitely not a good example, the Russian twin ship keeps loosing aircraft in the Med.

I have a friend that works for GE. China has been working on producing a cheap airliner for about 5 years now. They want to use GE engines in it. My friend went to China to see the airliner they were building so they work on fitting engines to it. He said the thing is absolute trash and would never get an airworthiness cert from the FAA in a million years.

Interesting read. I don't believe they are ready to take us on. Their ramp jet carriers cant launch as many or as fast as ours can at one time, nor do I believe they can perform launch & recovery operations at the same time as we can. Although I have been known to be wrong before.
