Maybe they'll have better luck speaking to aliens in Chinese. English never worked in all the years of SETI

I most definitely am decidely unthrilled about a dictatorial Commie state apparently leading the way about such a thing...that should be something the US, Europe, Japan, NATO, and all the free democracies of the world should be heading up...that whole idea has languished, with Congress basically chalking it up to a triviality...if those Commie weirdos do actually find something, I'd seriously doubt they'd share it with the rest of humanity, and I'm most definitely not joking about that, I'm seriously in earnest about it...there should most definitely be a serious chunk of Federal money allocated to that through NASA, and not leave it to some vague, nebulous, charity-driven private body...the whole topic of exobiology has now matured to the point where it's not gonna be a question of if, it's now just a question of when, and the more money thrown at it, whether using the dish at Arecibo, or the Jodrell readiotelescope bank in the UK, a weirdo dictatorial Commie state should most definitely not be leading the way, and most esp not on something that important to the rest of humanity...I've also noticed those Commie weirdos are starting to want to go to the back side of the moon, specifically because there's essentially zero Earth interference, so, given the article here, I don't exactly think it takes Einstein or a rocket scientist to figure out why...this is just way too important a scientific topic to leave to those Commie lunatics, they'd never reveal it, they'd stamp it a state secret, hide it, and basically never let the word out as to who they'd find, where, or how to send back a signal, and about that, I'm entirely serious...I've read material on serious SETI a long time now, I'm well acquainted with the Harvard observatory signal-processing efforts in that regard, there's absolutely zero reason a few million a year couldn't, or shouldn't be, budgeted for a topic as technologically mature as this one is, at this point...one success would totally rewrite human history...I mean, do we really want a bunch of Commie fruitcakes being the one to make that discovery? Really? I don't think the concept is amusing, I think the concept is actually pretty terrifying...they're at a stage of drive to maturity now, due to the facade of capitalism they spew out, that is only gonna accelerate their progress on such stuff...to not fund serious SETI in the free world is, in my view, a really serious mistake, guys, honest...I'm not meaning to sound melodramatic about it, however, with the present capability to find exoplanets, esp one with possible atmospheres and/or water, to not seriously pursue SETI now with equal vigor would be, in my view, a serious judgment error, plus, leaving it to a bunch of dictatorial Commie lunatics would only infinitely compound the potential problem, for real, that's just the way I think about the whole topic, honest....
