It appears, Taiwan has a great % of trade with China. We have the same problem. So, Taiwan allowed sales of products from the US which was holding up a trade deal with America. Also, Taiwan makes chips for Apple. Now, Taiwan makes chips for Apple in AZ.
That is the take away for me in this article. Make it costly for America to lose Taiwan and lower trade with China.
There is 100 miles of ocean between China and Taiwan. To support a land invasion of Taiwan, China would have to control air. Otherwise, the invasion force would be blown out of the water.
I do not think China can do it yet.
